Sad sad times ahead!

Today I really need to get a few things off my chest, which means writing things down.

A while back, my doggie got very sick, and he needed treatment, which of course, he got. However, the health problems didn't go away, so my dog got an ultrasound to determine what was wrong with him. Unfortunately, the diagnosis that I got was devastating.

It turned out that his intestines and stomach were perfectly fine. It was where the vet had expected to see issues. Thorough as she is, she examined more, like my dog's bladder and also his prostate. That's where she encountered a problem she hadn't anticipated.

Last week, my dog was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Well, let me tell you that being hit with a sledgehammer wouldn't have hurt me as much as this. The vet can't predict how many months my dog still has left. You see, when the dog already is showing symptoms (that when people see the vet). Then, the prognosis would be about three months, with a little luck.

However, the vet discovered prostate cancer by accident, and my dog doesn't even show symptoms. That's why they can't predict how much time my dog has left.

Another topic, yep, writing stories.

I'm working on several projects, right now. I started writing Assassins part two, and I'm working on a story called Murky Waters, although I don't know if I like the title. Plus, I nearly finished writing Emma's story. The only thing that prevents me from publication is the part about my dog, Max. I need time to write down the correct words, and for that, I need time to put things into perspective.

I hope to post new information about the stories that I'm working on, right this moment.

For now, stay safe!

Edit:

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot. I'm ill, the flu, and no, I'm not infected with Covid 19, just an ordinary old-fashioned flu.

Difficult times ahead!

I haven't done much writing the previous week, I don't know why, but my head was empty. I did, however, start a new story and already have new ideas for the story after that. Maybe my head was too full of all kinds of ideas, which could be why I didn't get anything done. Who knows? As it is, I will start this weekend continue with The Assassin and the Florist.

Also,  Emma, my doggie, has problems with her right eye again. It's the same eye that she had surgery on in December. Unfortunately, the eye is infected, and now she has even more medication to save her right eye. My greatest fear is that Emma loses her eyesight completely. I don't want her to go blind.

Well, that's it for now!

New Beginnings

Oh. My. God! It seems like a lifetime ago since I blogged. Well, from now on, I'll try to blog on a regular basis. Even though I was absent for a very long time, I've been busy with moving from Germany to the Netherlands, and of course, writing stories.

Even though I was absent here, on my blog, I had a very busy schedule because, in the meantime, I wrote the third part in the Grapevines & Skyscrapers Series "Weddingbells." Plus, I wrote and finished the fourth book in the Wentworth Pack Series "Children of the Gods." I'm very proud of all that I wrote, and people, keep buying my books, well, that's the icing on the cake.

It's already been more than a year since my husband and I moved back to the Netherlands, and it was a good decision. We have a small, but nice and cozy apartment, with lots of friendly neighbors. Right now I'm working on several projects like a sequel on Serigala Valley, and a new story, The Assassin and the Florist. And another new story, Murky Waters. I'm not sure if I want to keep the title though.

That's it for now! Stay safe and stay Corona-free!
