Progress!

Good morning everyone! The sun is shining, and Grapevines & Skyscrapers is progressing perfectly. I'm on schedule again, and that's a good thing. I was up early this morning because I wanted to watch the free practice 3 of the F1. After that, it was time for the qualifying. As I wrote before, I love Formula One, Two and three, and don't forget the Formula E Series. There is a lot of action. It's awesome.

This weekend will be all about working on G & S book 02 Reunited! I'm almost there, just a few more chapters. G & S 02 Reunited is scheduled for May, and it will ready on time. I hope to finish G& S next Saturday, that gives me enough time to edit and correct. The published cover is definitive.

So, I wish all of you a great weekend!

How Many Books?

I am, of course, a member of many writers groups. There's often the question of "How many books do you publish, in a year?"

I know of writers who publish a book every two to three weeks. And I know of authors who release one or two books per year. Since I only started releasing books in July 2018, so not even a year ago, I couldn't answer that particular question. I'm not sure of how many books I could publish in a year.

What I do know is that I'm not able to publish more than six books per year. I write novels, mostly. And that takes time, mainly because I have to edit and created a cover for the book. Plus, I'm not a full-time writer. Even when I have the time, I don't always write. I do, however, work on creating a cover or a summary. To write an excerpt isn't so easy as some people think that it is.

A summary is critical because that's why a reader can decide if they buy the book or not. Also, the book cover has to be a catching one and should show what the book is all about.

As I wrote above, I'm not a full-time writer. I still have my other job which is important because a girl has to eat, right? Other than many people think, few writers can make their livelihood with writing books. So, I'm glad that I still have a job other than writing stories. Although, I was lucky enough to turn my hobby (writing books) into a career. I'm selling books, so I'm now an official writer.

That's it for today! My dogs and my books need my attention. It's cold outside, so the weather is perfect for staying in and work on Grapevines & Skyscrapers book 02.

Have a great day!

New Cover and Other Things!

I'm working hard to finish The Wentworth pack 02. All though, I still don't have a title for this second book. But, right now, I have inspiration, and I know how the story proceeds and how it ends. Yep, it's all in my head and ready to be put on paper, well laptop. Then there's the cover that still needs finishing, and  I have no clue. I guess that I just have to wait for inspiration to hit me.

For these last few weeks, It was a struggle to keep writing. When I'm feeling down, or tired, then it's difficult to find inspiration to continue working on one of my stories.

I'm having a difficult time because my friend is very sick, she's dying. We've known each other for more than thirty-five years and it hard to accept that in a few months, she won't be among us anymore.

My Frustoose allergy reared its ugly head, once again and I hate it. Luckily there's a medication that helps the intestines to digest the sugar that is in so many products.

Good news! My rescue operation of the mini Maltese was a huge success. On Monday, I've checked, and all is fine. That makes me happy.

More good news! Max is still doing great. He can't walk long distances anymore, but that's okay. I use the Innopet dog stroller, so if Max gets tired, I put him in the stroller so he can continue enjoying our walk.

That's enough for now!

Have a good week!

Beautiful Sunday!

I'm busy working on a story that doesn't have a title, yet. I don't even know where it will lead me. Yeah, it's hilarious, I know. The weather is excellent, with lots of sunshine, which gives me always an energy boost.

Last night I discovered a hedgehog in the garden, so I immediately put some food and water in front of it. hedgehogs don't run away, so getting close to them is easy. At first, I thought that it was a small rabbit. My garden doesn't have lights, just the streetlamps and they keep the garden in the dark.

However, after placing down the food and water, I retreated so Joris, that's how I name him, could eat in peace.

It was Emma, who discovered the hedgehog. She's nearly blind, but apparently, Emma did smell the small animal. Max hadn't noticed it at all, and that was something that surprised me because he always knows first if there's an animal in the garden.

Today I won't have much time to write because hubby, Max, Emma and I will visit our friends.

When I'm working on my books, I rarely take the time to do anything else, and that's not right. If you work, you need the distraction, something fun to do, like seeing friends. So, today we are visiting our long-time friends.

On Friday, I went to see one of my best friends. He was the one who helped me with my writing. We had lunch and a good time.

I'm slowly doing better now. As I told you before, I rescued a dog, which took me several weeks. Plus my friend for over thirty years is dying. Her last CT scan was devastating, and I suffered with her. She's a year younger than I am. It's so unfair.

Anyway, I need to get ready, that means getting a shower and getting dressed because I want to look presentable.

Have a great Sunday!

Writing and recovering!

This weekend will be all about Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02! I've already written two third of it, but it's not done, not be far. The reason I waited so long before I continued Raphael and Julian's story is that I was stuck, and didn't know how to proceed. I still don't see how the story will end, or if there will even be a third book.

I have several projects that I'm working on right now. I'm writing on a story that doesn't have a title, even, and that's weird. There are flowing a few options through my head, but I'm not sure about the exact title, though. For now, I just continue with the story, and I'm confident that the title of this book will eventually come to me.

I'm on the couch, laptop on my lap and watching Father Brown (The UK Version) The role of Father Brown is played by Mark Williams ( Mr. Weasly) in the Harry Potter Series. I love watching Father Brown. My dogs are on the couch as well. Max is on my left, and Emma on the right. Yep, I'm covered in a dog blanket hahaha.

Hubby is running errands, so I am still in my pj's, after all, it's weekend. Plus, he doesn't mind doing some last minute grocery shopping.

The tiredness is slowly disappearing, and that's a good feeling because the last few weeks were hard on me.

I resued a small dog, and one of my best friends is dying, she had cancer and is in the last phase. She knows that there is no way she will recover and she is so brave.

The rescue and knowing that my friend won't have much time on this earth has sucked almost all of my energy. However, I'm slowly crawling out of that dark hole that I slipped into.

Now, it's back to writing again!

Have a great weekend!

Max and the veterinarian!

Today is judgment day, again, like every year for the last three years now. Max's heart will get an ultrasound, today! The ultrasound for Max should take place in October, later this year. We forwarded the date because Max isn't doing so well, lately.

I'll take Emma to the clinic as well. My Portuguese rescue can't stay home by herself, not without Max at her side. However, my husband will be there too. He drives from work directly to the animal clinic so that he can take care of Emma. That gives me the chance to concentrate entirely on Max.

I finished my work, and now I will try to write on one of my books. I'm working on three projects right now. To concentrate is hard, though. I'm nervous, and my stomach is in knots. The thought that my beloved Max would be very sick terrify's me.

Well, anyway that's it for now!
