Difficult times ahead!

 I haven't done much writing the previous week, I don't know why, but my head was empty. I did, however, start a new story and already have new ideas for the story after that. Maybe my head was too full of all kinds of ideas, which could be why I didn't get anything done. Who knows? As it is, I will start this weekend continue with The Assassin and the Florist.

Also,  Emma, my doggie, has problems with her right eye again. It's the same eye that she had surgery on in December. Unfortunately, the eye is infected, and now she has even more medication to save her right eye. My greatest fear is that Emma loses her eyesight completely. I don't want her to go blind.

New Beginnings

 

Oh. My. God! It seems like a lifetime ago since I blogged. Well, from now on, I'll try to blog on a regular basis. Even though I was absent for a very long time, I've been busy with moving from Germany to the Netherlands, and of course, writing stories.

Even though I was absent here, on my blog, I had a very busy schedule because, in the meantime, I wrote the third part in the Grapevines & Skyscrapers Series "Weddingbells." Plus, I wrote and finished the fourth book in the Wentworth Pack Series "Children of the Gods." I'm very proud of all that I wrote, and people, keep buying my books, well, that's the icing on the cake.

It's already been more than a year since my husband and I moved back to the Netherlands, and it was a good decision. We have a small, but nice and cozy apartment, with lots of friendly neighbors. Right now I'm working on several projects like a sequel on Serigala Valley, and a new story, The Assassin and the Florist. And another new story, Murky Waters. I'm not sure if I want to keep the title though.

Editing time!

After much delay, I finally finished Serigala Valley. The book has over 65.000 words, and still, the story isn't done. When I started Serigala Valley, I wasn't sure if there would be a part two, but that that decision was made for me, yesterday. So, there will be a second book.

Now the book needs editing, and that might take a while because it's a lot of work. It's not something that you do in one day, mind you.

Also, my office has finally been set up, so that I can retread if I need peace and quiet, like when I start editing Serigala Valley. I can't work if there's to much noise and distraction around me.
The weather is lovely, and I'm sitting on my balcony while I write this blog.

It's been about two months since my husband, and I moved back to The Netherlands and traded the large house and even bigger garden for an apartment with a nice balcony. I love the new apartment. Max and Emma felt at home from the beginning.

Getting there! Serigala Valley.

It's been two months since we move back from Germany to the Netherlands, and routine slowly returns. It is now that my mood is so good that writing is possible again, even though we still are organizing things.

Serigala Valley, the latest story that I'm working on, has been significantly delayed by everything, like the Corona crisis, moving and settle down in our new apartment.

Serigala Valley is now nearing its end, and it's about time, too, because I have fresh ideas for two new projects. Plus, I'm continuing to write Emma's story between writing M/M romance stories.

A sign of life!

Somehow, I couldn't get into the story.

Today I will try again to start working on Lamar and Mitchell's story. Both men are waiting eagerly to share their story with you, the readers.

Then there is, of course, the Coronavirus. What a mess! So many people have died already, and even more, are infected. This shit isn't over by far. So far, my husband and I managed to stay healthy. We are not going anywhere. The only places I'm visiting are the grocery shops.

I really hope that it's over soon. Will live, as we know it, cease to exist? I do think so. But I also believe that we will come out of it stronger. So, fingers crossed and pray for the best!

I'm done with moving, that is.

Finally, after weeks of doing other things, I started working on Serigala Valley again. Last month we sold our house, and now we've moved back to the Netherlands. I fell in love with the apartment and the neighborhood right away. So, that was a good sign.

As of now, I do have the time and energy to start writing again. I have some really fresh ideas on how Mitchell's story should continue. So, today is writing-day.

Weddingbells in December (Grapevines & Skyscrapers 03)

Last year in September, I started writing Weddingbells in December. I hoped to finish the book in time for Christmas (2019). Well, my creative brain thought otherwise because I got stuck.

Raphael and Julian's story came to an abrupt halt because suddenly, I didn't know what direction the characters would go. Then, to complete the disaster, I didn't get any good ideas for the cover. So, not only the story but the cover was on hold too. That when I began to work on a brand new story, Serigala Valley.
However, the previous week I got gazillion ideas for Raphael and Julian's story. So, right now, I'm working on two books simultaneously.

I even made some progress regarding the cover for G & S book three. Hell, I also have ideas for book four, it's so weird; first there my brain seemed empty of ideas, and now it's boiling over.

So, now it's back to work!
