Cover ready and other stuff!

I ran errands this morning, and now I'm done for the day. Hell, I'm even done for tomorrow, LOL. Right now, it's sitting on the couch, writing the last few chapters of Insanity book three in The Wentworth Pack Series. The cover is ready. So the book should be released on schedule at the end of January 2020.

Both doggies are with me on the couch, and they are fast asleep. We had a short walk this morning because my kidneys are hurting a bit, which happens sometimes. But, hey, a thirty-five-minute walk is alright, in my opinion.

I need to write two, maybe three chapters, then the book finally is finished. I was afraid that it would take me to long because that's when I lose interest. That means that I put the unfinished story on the shelf, and that's not good, I know. Writing is a creative process that can't be forced. I tried that, and it didn't work.

If you want to keep informed about the progress and release date for The Wentworth Pack 03 Insanity, check out my home page.

I wish all of you a happy and healthy 2020

**** Spoiler Alert! ** Sale at Smashwords! ****

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Mine was great. Now it back to work again. Right now, I'm working on The Wentworth Pack book 3, and it's coming along just fine. I wrote 55.552 words already, and I hope to finish the story by the end of January 2020. Maybe even sooner, if I'm lucky. Also, I finally picked a title for the third book.

My books are now on sale at Smashwords.com; check it out!

I'm listening to the top 2000 on the Dutch radio, it's fantastic. Good music makes writing so much easier.

Off we go!

Just a few more weeks to greet a new year. I resubmitted the German version of Christmas Miracles A Voice From Heaven. December is always a busy month with Christmas around the corner, and stories to finish.

Today I'll be busy finishing the new letter for our company. After that, I will continue with the third book in the Wentworth Pack series. I already wrote more than half, but a few weeks ago, I got stuck. If I don't know how the story continues, then I'm not able to write one more word. I did that once, and afterward, when I read it back, it was horror (haha).

I knew that it would come to me because it always does. So, I left the ranch be and gave 'Weihnachtswunder' all of my attention. Since that story is all about Christmas, I really needed to finish editing on time, which I did.

Also, today, I will continue with The Wentworth Pack Book Three. I'm not sure if this will be the last book in the series. I'm working on the cover for some time now, and I still not able to get it right — damn and double damn.

The problem is that if I finish the story, the cover has to be ready as well. Without a book cover, there's no publication. It's pone of the reasons that I put Grapevines & Skyscrapers 03 on hold. I can't get the book cover right.

Well, time to get back to work again.

Have a great weekend, y'all!

Tai Chi, and other things!

Oh man. I've decided to get involved in the wonderful world of Tai Chi. You see, my blood pressure is causing some minor problems. It is going on for a couple of weeks now, and I feel the need to do something.

I also decided not to pressure myself regarding writing stories. I need time to explore other things, like painting, for instance. For the last two years, all I did was work, and in my spare time, I wrote stories. Only my two dogs got a lot of time, and that was it, but not anymore. It bad for my health, and I have to think of myself. So, that's what I'm doing, taking time for me.

After Tai Chi, I gave the dogs their breakfast, and then I took a shower. After that, I took them both for a nice long walk. Now I'm on the couch writing another blog, and then I will continue with The Wentworth Pack book three. Come to think of it; I still need to create the cover, but I already have some great ideas.

Cover Design :)

After several hours of writing, I decided that I'm going to work on the cover design for The Wentworth Pack book three. I'm not quite sure what the cover is going to look like. So I'll try different layouts.

I'm not even sure about the background LOL. So, I will surprise myself, I guess. However, I do have the perfect men and kids for the cover. To design a cover takes time. That's why I write during the day and work on the cover in the evening. Well, most of the time because, as you know, I'm not a full-time writer.

That's it for today. I wish you all a great weekend! XX

I'm getting there!

There's not much to write about, but I want to blog anyway. I'm still sick, well, it's not as bad as two weeks before, but I feel weak and ill enough to spend most days resting. My body needs lots of rest so it can heal whatever is making me sick.

Right now, I'm working on The Wentworth Pack book three. And it's coming along excellent, I might add. However, I'm still running behind with everything, but that's something I can't change. I'm still busy editing Weihnachtswunder Stimme Aus Dem Jenseits. So, a lot of work is lying ahead of me before Christmas.

That's all for now! Have a great weekend, y'all!

maandag 28 oktober 2019

Well, what can I say?

It's been four weeks since I returned from Italy, and I'm sick ever since. It's frustrating because I'm not able to work on The Wentworth Pack Book Three. So, this week it's all about getting a much rest as possible. I wrote as much as 26.00 words, so nearly half the book is finished. However, there still a lot of work waiting.

Then there's the German version of Christmas Miracles, called Weihnachtswunder Stimme aus dem Jenseits, that still needs a lot of editing before it's ready for a renewed publication.

About The Wentworth Pack, it's challenging to write about Christopher, Eric, and Jory's son. Christopher is so much more than meets the eye; so is Marcus, for that matter.

I hope that I feel better again soon because being sick sucks, big time!

Have a great week y'all!

Weihnachtswunder - Christmas Miracles!

Yesterday I got my manuscript, the translation of Christmas Miracles, back. I'm so excited, all that I need to do now is ready it for publication, which will be right before Christmas. Also, the book will be available in paperback. The German language is very complicated, so I will never, ever try to translate one of my books into German again! No way! The cover will stay the same because I like it.

More info will follow, soon!

Home alone!

Well, not really. Max and Emma are keeping me company while hubby is at the Caravan, Camping and Moblihome show in Utrecht! We own a small, family-run, tent trailer production company. Hubby will stay in Utrecht for the duration of the show, which is five days.

Well, now that I have the house for myself, I hope to get some more writing done. However, my regular duties for the company are waiting too. So, I need to divide my time, but that should be a problem.

I've been sick ever since we got back from our vacation, which is now one-and-a-half weeks ago. But, I feel better, I feel good enough to get back to work and do my daily chores.

The Wentworth Pack Book Three will get published in December 2019. Writing goes well, and I'm making a lot of progress, which makes me very happy.

I'll take one last cup of java, and then duty is calling!

vrijdag 4 oktober 2019

Change!

Yesterday, I took the time to prioritize the stories that I intend to write. So, I adjusted my homepage, and now everything is as it should be.

As soon as I finish The Wentworth Pack book 03, I'll start writing Emma's story, and a new story that just entered my mind.

I decided the Grapevines & Skyscrapers Book 03 will be released at the end of 2020. After all, the title fits “Weddingbells in December.” The reason for the story to be published next year is that I can't get the cover right. I don't want to add unnecessary stress to my life because that's something I don't need.

In fact, I'm going to make time free for painting and work with clay. Writing is still very important because I love to write, but I know that I need time to do other things, too.

So, more time for long walks with my doggies, painting, and working with clay.

So, if you want to know what I'm working on, right now, visit my homepage. :)

Have a great weekend y'all!

Ich freue mich, bekannt zu geben, dass die Deutsche überarbeitete Version von Weihnachtswunder - Stimme Aus Dem Jenseits, demnächst vorbestellt werden kann auf Amazon.de.

Der Originaltitel lautet, Christmas Miracles - A Voice From Heaven.

____________________________________________________________

I'm very proud and happy because the German, revised version, of Christmas Miracles, will soon be up for pre-order!

This time the translation is done by a German friend, and she is pretty good with grammar, so the story should be pleasant to read. I'm really excited.

I'm really excited, and I hope that the readers will be satisfied.

The Wentworth Pack book 03

Book three in the Wentworth Pack series is progressing well. Right now, I'm working on the cover, and since I still don't know what I want, I will create several covers. The title of book three is now definite; it took me a while to decide, though.

I always find it challenging to give a story a title or give a new book in a series a name, but I did it.

The third book in the Wentworth Pack Series will be released in December, it will be available in paperback, and ebook.

Hubby and I came home on Sunday after two weeks in beautiful Italy. Now, I'm sick and residing on the couch. The only two who love it when I'm sick are my doggies, Max and Emma LOL. Well, I still have this week off, so that's good.

Have a good week, y'all!

woensdag 25 september 2019

Most likely!

I'm working on The Wentworth Pack book three for a while now. It's the story that speaks to me above all others. So it's very probable that this one will get published in December 2019.

I've been working on Grapevines & Skyscrapers book three too, but right now, I'm stuck. The characters are keeping their silence, so there's nothing that I can do about that.

I'm still vacationing in Italy, but we're traveling home on Sunday. I did not get the peace and quiet that I had hoped for, unfortunately. The weather is good, and that's a huge plus. The moment I leave the campgrounds, it's getting very stressful.

Even Max, one of my dogs is feeling down. He doesn't want to walk on the promenade. To many people, and he doesn't like that. We searched and found a lovely holiday resort, though for next year. We took the dogs with us, and Max was so happy. He didn't protest once but walked happily beside us, the whole time.

The cabins are fantastic, and dogs are welcome too. So, we made our choice for next year.

I'll continue writing because time is running out fast. I've lost a lot of time these past months, so I try to catch up a little.

Have a great week y'all!

Resting and writing!

Even on vacation, I need to write when inspiration hits me. Right now, I'm working on three different projects. Grapevines & Skyscrapers book 3, Devil Springs book 1 and The Wentworth Pack book 3, which will be about Christopher.

In Grapevines & Skyscrapers, book 3, is Julian in for a couple of surprises and not in a good way. The poor guy will have to endure much before he ties the knot with the man of his dreams.

Devil Springs is an entirely new story, and I love the characters already. They speak to me, and I listen to what they have to say. It's about a detective and a master vampire.

******

Italy is lovely, and I'm so happy to be here once again. Lake Garda is mesmerizing as always. I didn't do much for the first two days because I was too tired. Right now I'm sitting outside on the veranda, working on The Wentworth Pack book 3.

I still can't tell which book will be ready for publication next, and I like it that way. Life is unpredictable, and so is writing books. It's all about inspiration.

Vacay :)

Finally, I'm back in my beloved Italy. Even though the drive to our destination was hell, I'm happy that we arrived at Laje Garda because it's so beautiful here. The people are friendly, and the weather is perfect.

I brought my laptop with me, which is a given. And I hope that this much-needed vacation will inspire me to write a lot. Guardian Angels book one is out, and right now I'm working on several other projects. So, I don't know what story will be published next.

Also, I'd started working on a book about Emma, my rescue dog. I hope to release that one in June 2020. But we'll see if I can manage that.

Have a great week y' all!

zaterdag 31 augustus 2019

Guardian Angels, is finished! Time for a fresh story :)

Time for another story. Today I finished Guardian Angels Book One. It's available for pre-order on Smashwords and in a day or so, it will also be available on Amazon, and Barnes & Noble. So, I'm satisfied.

Even though the story that I'm working on right now has a title, I'm not sure if I keep it that way. This book will be a stand-alone; it won't be a part of a series.

I am in doubt whether I will write a Christmas story or not because if I would write one, then it would put me under a lot of stress. And that's not really an option.

Right now, I'll continue with my new story. Today the characters will be created. It takes time to that because I need to make them so that I can picture- and get to know them.

As a writer, I have to connect with the characters of my story. Without a bond with the characters, there's no way I could finish a novel.

Have a great weekend y'all!

A little R & R

Time to write, and time to relax because it goes hand in hand, well, for me anyway. Hubby and I are camping for a week, and it's beautiful here. There's lots of shade, and with the brightly shining sun, we need it. Right now, I'm sitting outside in the shade and busy myself with some Sudoku. I love to solve all kinds of puzzles. It relaxes me, just like reading and writing does.

I hope to finish Guardian Angel by the end of this week. Then, I'll start with editing, which will take me at least about ten days. So, I hope to get Guardian Angels up for pre-order on Sept 8th. After that, I'm traveling to my beloved Italy and will stay for two weeks.

While in Italy I will concentrate on a Christmas story. First, I thought about Christmas Miracles book two or The Wentworth Pack book three, but now I'm not sure what to do. Ah, well, it'll come to me when the time is right, it always does.

Have a good week y'all!

zondag 18 augustus 2019

Lazy Sunday.

Even though it's Sunday, I rose early because Emma, my rescue doggie from Portugal, needs her first eyedrops at 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. She has two kinds of eye drops which she will need for the rest of her life.

Right now, I'm sitting on the couch with the laptop on my lap and working on Guardian Angels Book One. Both dogs are lying beside me, and that's just the way I like it. I've reached the 50.000 words, and that means that I need to write at least another 10.000. Plus I still need to write the summary, but that won't be a problem.

It's raining, and God knows that we need it. The creek that runs through the village is still not on its average level. So, let it rain, let it rain, let it rain.

Have a great Sunday, y'all!

zaterdag 17 augustus 2019

Soon Available for Pre-order!

I'm still working on it, but Guardian Angels is almost finished.

Life!

It seems that as of today, my life is back on track again. Losing one of my dearest friends was very hard, and it made me think about my life and the future.

I'm trying to make the best of every day, but that doesn't always work. However, the mild depression that visited me two weeks ago is slowly moving on. I feel better with each day that passes. Now I'm able to concentrate on writing stories once again.

I don't like it that Guardian Angels is delayed for at least two weeks, but that's how it is, and I dealt with it because it's something that I can't change. After the Guardian Angels' story is finished, I will work on a Christmas story.

I found out that I need time to write and finish a book, rather than force myself to write and finish quickly.

Have a great weekend y'all!

donderdag 15 augustus 2019

Just another day!

Writing is going well again. Collin and Matthew's story is progressing, and I'm happy about that. I will have lots of time to continue writing because Emma, my rescue, is getting her eye operation on Friday. That means that my schedule is cleared for at least three days. I'll be on the couch beside my little doggie, and that will give me time to watch her and continue writing at the same time.

Hubby has cleared his schedule for tomorrow because I need him to drive Emma en me back from the clinic. Hubby drives, so I can sit in the back and keep Emma calm. I think that after her operation, Emma has to wear an Elizabethan collar, and that frightens her to no end. So, that's the reason that I will sit with her in the back of the car.

I need to prevent her from getting a panic attack because she will fight to get that damn collar of off her neck. Emma is a small dog, but she is very feisty.

If all goes well, then Emma will get her sight back as soon as next week. I read a lot about cataract operations. I always read a lot about things that I know nothing about, so I can prepare for what's to come.

My next story, "Guardian Angels," will hopefully be ready for publication at the beginning of September. This week I started making notes for the book I'm going to write about my rescue dog, Emma. Plus more notes for a new story.

That's it for now! Have a great day y'all!

zondag 11 augustus 2019

Much better :)

Goodmorning from Germany. So far, my day is perfect. My books are selling, hubby made breakfast, croissants, and scrambled eggs, and right now, he is walking the dogs. Today will be all about writing. I feel good again, even though I miss my friend. But I will always miss her, no matter what so, I'll better get used to that.

I hope to make a lot of progress on writing Guardian Angels. I won't try to make up for the lost weeks because that would cause unnecessary stress. And that would lead to a temporary writer's block.

Hubby and I will have a beautiful, quiet Sunday, just the way that I like it.

Have a nice day, y'all!

zaterdag 10 augustus 2019

The last farewell :(

I think that it's time for a new blog. On August 3rd, I wrote the last one because I wasn't capable of writing anything while my best friend was dying.

On August 4th, she started her final journey to wherever it is that souls travel to.  I don't believe in God, but I do think that there is more between heaven and earth. So, I know that my friend is in the best place because she was a good human being. She never turned away from those in need. She was kind and generous. She was my best friend!

On August 9th, I said my final farewell. And right now I feel pretty empty inside. I will be alright again, but it needs time, and that's perfectly normal.

Today I started writing again. Well, I try, anyway. As all of you surely can understand, the release of Guardian Angels will be postponed, for at least two weeks. So I hope to release the book around September 14th. Maybe sooner, but probably not.

The main thing now is for me to feel good again because that's what my friend would want for me.

So, it's time to move on and live my life, and make the best of it, every single day.

zaterdag 3 augustus 2019

All goes well! Almost, but not really!

Is it Saturday already? WOW time flies if you're having fun. Writing goes as expected. I'm still behind on schedule, but there's nothing I can do about that now. Time is running out for my friend, who has cancer. She is terminal and has only day's, maybe even hours left. Soon heaven will welcome an angel. And she will shine brightly because there will be no more pain and sorrow, but only happiness and joy.

So, that I'm preoccupied right now, should be understandable. Still, I managed to write a few chapters this week, despite everything. Being out on a camping trip does help a lot too. We are in the middle of a beautiful forest. And it's peaceful here, so that helps me cope with the grief that I feel right now.

In a few days (maximum) it will all be over for my friend. She fought so hard, and she never stood a chance. My heart hurts, for her and her family.

Right now, I'll continue working on Matthew and Collin's story. Guardian Angels.

Have a good weekend y'all!

maandag 29 juli 2019

My doggie Emma!

Well, I won't write anything today because my beloved doggie Emma is at the animal clinic right now. I don't know what's wrong with her, only that she's in pain and doesn't want to walk anymore.

The vet thinks that she might suffer from kidney failure, renal pelvis infection, or something similar. So, instead of my first day of camping with hubby and Max en Emma, I'm home, and my doggie is at the clinic for further examination.

So, no, I'm not in the mood to work on a story. All I want right now is for Emma to come home where she belongs. If everything goes according to plan, I can pick her up around 6:30 PM. So, fingers crossed.

The plan is to travel tomorrow to the campground for a week or so. That is if the vet gives her okay. Otherwise hubby and I will stay home. Emma's welfare comes first.

That's it for now!

zaterdag 27 juli 2019

Writing and more writing!

And the heat continues. Personally, I don't mind, but flora and fauna are suffering tremendously. Writing is slow because of the weather. Plus I have my other job that requires my attention.

As of Monday, hubby and I will go on a camping trip with, of course, Max and Emma. I'm not going anywhere without my doggies. We found a nice campground, and I'm looking forward to next week. If I'm lucky, then I can get a lot of writing done.

The new story that I'm working on, Guardian Angels, is coming along great, only it takes a little longer than I anticipated. I hope to release the book at the end of August. Even though I'm a little behind, it's still possible.

In the meantime, new ideas (for two new stories) flowed into my mind. Sometimes I'm asking myself how long before I go insane? My head is overflowing, and that keeps me awake at night.

Well, anyway. Have a great weekend!

dinsdag 23 juli 2019

Can you have too much?

I wasn't able to work on His Guardian Angel, for the last few days. My friend, who is in the hospice, is now suffering from Pyelonephritis. As if having lung cancer isn't bad enough. Her being terminal ill is taking a toll on me. The feeling of being powerless is tough to handle.

It's 2 PM, and I started writing again. I really want to finish, His Guardian Angel. I'm inside at the moment because outside is way too hot. I fed the birds first thing this morning and refilled the water bowl for them, so they can drink and take a bath.

Also, I created a to-do list because there's so much that I simply forget. I have several unfinished stories on m shelf, and this morning another idea hit me, for another story. So, I'm starting to make notes, just in case I get stuck with, His Guardian Angel. I have too many stories on the shelf (sigh).

Can you have too much-unfinished stories on your shelf? Some would answer with yes, and others say, no! (Laughing)

Well, it's back to writing again! Have a great day y'all.

His Guardian Angel!

Writing goes better than expected, which is good because I’m behind as it is. That I’m behind on schedule was to be expected, my best friend is dying, and I’m working many hours right now. Plus Max’s front paw is still worrying me.

__________________________________________________________
Here’s a fragment of -- His Guardian Angel!

“When are you leaving for work?” Darren asked. Collin looked at the clock that hung in the living room. “In about an hour,” he answered. “I’ll drive you,” Darren said, and he sounded determined. Collin frowned. “Why would you do that?” “To make sure that you stay safe,” Darren answered. “I don’t think so,” Collin protested because this was not what he was waiting for. He didn’t need his friends to watch over him, that was ridiculous, wasn’t it?

“It’s not necessary, really. I have my phone. So I’ll call if I need you, okay?” Collin assured his friend. Darren looked grim as he said, “Freddy has disappeared. Now, someone is harassing you. I think that there’s a connection. You should be careful. Hell, we all should be on our guards because we still don’t know why Freddy vanished.” Collin knew that his friend was right, but he refused to live in fear. He had lived in fear for far too long, and it wasn’t healthy.

“I will be careful. I promise. And I even call you when I’m at the gym. How’s that?” Collin said, smiling. Darren didn’t look convinced, but there was nothing that he could do about it. Collin was an adult, and if he didn’t want protection, then there wasn’t much Darren could do. “Alright, but I don’t like it,” Darren conceded. Collin clapped his friend on the shoulder. “Thank you,” he said as he went to his room to dress for work. Right now Collin wore slacks, and at work, he always was dressed in jeans and a T-shirt.

Even though Collin had refused Darren’s offer to drive him to work, he felt a bit uncomfortable. Collin still reeled from the encounter with the creep at the supermarket parking lot. It hadn’t dawned that Freddy had disappeared and suddenly this guy had harassed him in front of the supermarket. Was there a connection?

Collin parked his car on the parking lot that was behind the gym. He got out and locked the vehicle. He was halfway to the gym when he got that uneasy feeling again. Now he knew that he was being watched. Collin walked faster; he was even more skittish after the encounter with that creepy guy.

“Are you alright?” Derek Duval, Collin’s boss, asked. And worry showed in his eyes, which surprised Collin. “Uh. Yeah. I’m fine,” he replied carefully. Derek was behaving oddly. “Well, if you need me, I’m in my office,” Derek said, then he turned and walked toward the office. The man hadn’t made a pass at him,  and that wasn’t like his boss. Derek had never forced Collin, but he always made a pass as soon as he saw him. The man hadn’t even flirted, and that was strange. A feeling of dread crept up his spine; something wasn’t right.

Collin took his place behind the counter and concentrated on the computer screen, which showed the list of people who had come in to work out. Collin worked at the gym for several years, and he knew every customer. So, when an unfamiliar name popped up, he pulled the man’s file on the screen. Collin was the only one behind the counter, so no one would ask him why he was interested in this particular file. His name was Braxton Riddle. Riddle? Really? Collin’s blood ran cold when he saw the picture of the newcomer. It was the same man that had harassed him in front of the supermarket. Shit!

Now Collin was alarmed. Was he in imminent danger? Whatever this was, it wasn’t a coincident that this Braxton Riddle had applied for membership at the gym. The guy must have known where he worked. Did this mean that the creep was stalking him? Fuck!”

Life!

I had so many plans for today! However, as things go, plans can change. I wanted to get a lot of work done today, but apparently, fate had other plans for me. Instead of work, I did some shopping. Well, I needed new clothes, and that's very important.

So, I bought new shirts, a dress and two pair of shoes. Hubby came home with lunch, vegetarian for me :)  After finishing lunch, I continued working on my nex story. It's about Matthew, a guardian angel, and Collin, his soul mate.

Right now, I'm sitting outside with my laptop and busy writing. So far, the word count is 16.850. I think that this will turn into a novel. Why? Because I like it. Plus, I'm not really good at writing short stories. But I will give it a try again, shortly. Not these coming months because I have a lot of unfinished stories on the shelf, characters that need to make your acquaintance.

About my friend.
She isn't doing so well, unfortunately.  I really hope that she has a lot of days left, but ...
I try and visit her as often as possible, and we have fun. We still laugh and enjoy the stories from when we were actually young hahaha. But her health is deteriorating fast, which saddens me tremendously. She is so brave, and she's my hero.

About Max.
He's doing great, and for that I'm thankful. It will take at least a week for him to heal most of the wound, however small it is. The fact that the injury is situated on top of his paw worries me. Because every time he puts the leg down, he applies pressure to the wound. That way, it will take time for the injury to close up.

About Emma.
She is doing well too. Her pupil is standard again after the collision with the tree. I can't wait for August 16th because then Emma will get surgery on one of her eyes.

dinsdag 16 juli 2019

So much to do!

For the last few days, I made several trips to the veterinarian because Max has issues with his left front paw. Plus I had a lot of work to do for my husband's company. So, that left me with little time to write. However, at this moment, my dog is of more importance. Max's health and happiness are paramount. My other doggie, Emma, is scheduled for an eye operation on August 16th. Even though she is young, only four years old, Emma has cataracts on both eyes. Now, one eye will be cleaned of the grey stuff, so Emma will be able to see again, at least with one eye.

The coming days won't be any different, but at the end of the day, and in the early hours of the evening, I find the time to continue writing. Right now, my priority is to finish His Guardian Angel Book One. That's the story I want to get published mid-August.

I also continue on Grapevines & Skyscrapers Book Three, Weddingbells in December because it will be a Christmas story. In the meantime, I hope to finish another book, as well. I have several unfinished stories on the shelf, so all I have to do is pick and choose.

That's it for now! I need to pick up my car from the garage and then it's writing time.

Have a great week y'all.

Change of plans

I've had my day planned out, but no such luck. Well, change of plans for most of the day. Max, my doggie is in pain. His left front paw hurts, and he doesn't let me near so I can check what's wrong with it.

Max is limping lightly, and he keeps licking his paw, poor munchkin. So, I have to wait until the animal clinic opens so that I can make an appointment for today.

Now the stories :) My favorite subject. Grapevines 03 is coming along slowly but steadily. Writing can be time-consuming unless you're on a writing high, which sometimes happens.

Since I will be home for most of the day, I will concentrate on some house cleaning and of course, continue with Raphael and Julian's story.  Grapevines 03 will be published right before Christmas.

There are more stories on my shelf. For more info on the expected released dates, visit my homepage, okay?

Have a great day!

Just a day ...

Yesterday I visited my friend, who is now in the hospice. I will continue to see her as much as possible, before, well, you know ....

Today was housecleaning day. Well, it was just the bedroom, but still. After that, hubby came home and brought with him a bit of work. So I went to work and right now, I'm working on Grapevines & Skyscrapers 03.

Writing goes well, with all of my four projects LOL. I mainly work on G&S 03 and a brand new story called Guardian Angels. Thank God the heat is gone for now because working it's so much better with the temperatures down a bit.

So, now it's back to writing amazing stories again.

Two Covers revealed!

Today, two new covers are revealed, and I'm so proud. Both are really beautiful. Also, writing goes well, and today, I made a lot of progress. Right now, it's raining a bit, and God knows that we need it, badly.

I'm going to relax with a nice glass of wine and snacks because I deserve it. Tomorrow I'll continue with Guardian Angels.

For more info, visit my homepage, or find me on Goodreads.

New Story? Yes :)

I'm so happy because I'm working on an entirely new story. And by that, I mean that it wasn't one that lay on my shelf. So, yes, this one is fresh and new, and it's going well.

It also means that I'm working on four different stories, right now. I'm curious as to which story will be ready first for publication because I certainly don't know.

This is my first weekend in four weeks that I will spend at home. It's relaxing sitting on the couch while I am working on my stories with my precious dogs right next to me.

I hope that by the end of August, one of my stories is ready for publication. But, writing is a creative process that can't be rushed.

Have a great weekend!

New Story!

I have three unfinished stories lying on my shelf. I'm stuck because I don't know how to continue. Today, when I was walking the dogs, a new idea flopped into my head, and now I'm working on a brand new story. And I love it.

I've already written down the characters. Before I start a new story, I always write down the characters, because it's essential. Also, I'm busy writing down Julian and Raphael's wedding vows. But I'm still not sure if it will come to say, I do!

That's all for today!

It's hard!

Today I head the idea to start the next Jack and Dexter story because there's still so much to write about those two. However, now that I'm sitting in front of my laptop, nothing comes to mind, and that sucks, (sigh.)

Maybe it's because I really had a bad day so far, nothing seemed to go as it should be. Since I'm a sensitive person, a day like this isn't good for writing.

So, what am I gonna do about it? Well, I don't know. I don't think that there's anything other than comply, and hoping that I soon feel better again.

The sequel to Christmas Miracles A Voice From Heaven is another Christmas story, so I need to start on time. I don't do deadlines very well, LOL.
So, I hope that inspiration will hit me very soon because I'm eager to continue Jack and Dexter's story, and of course, let's not forget sweet Parker.

Have a great week y'all!

Just Writing!

It's madness because right now I work on three books simultaneously, which means that I have opened at least eight files hahaha.

For now, it works really great for me. Even though it's hot outside, I continue to work on my stories. Right now, I'm working on Grapevines & Skyscrapers 03, The Wentworth Pack 03 and Club Ghost town 01.

On Friday we go camping again, but just for the weekend. This morning I found a sick little bird. It was in bad shape, so I took it to the vet, and he had to euthanize the poor thing.

That's all for now!

Have a good weeks y'all :)

The Wentworth pack 03 and Christmas stories!

I wanted to continue with Club Ghost Town, but unfortunately, I'm stuck. So, that means that I need to start with another project. I will start with book 3 in the Wentworth Pack Series, and this one will be about Christopher, Emma, and JJ, and Armand. I will give Eric a massive migraine (chuckle).

Also, I will start working on book 3 in the Grapevines & Skyscrapers Series. It will be a Christmas story, so that means that I have to finish it in time so that it can be published right before the holidays.

Grapevines & Skyscrapers 03 will not be the only Christmas story I'm planning on publishing right before the holidays. The sequel to Christmas Miracles A Voice from Heaven will also be released mid-December.

Well at least that the plan, but one never knows. Anyway, I will do my best to achieve my goals.

Have a great week y'all.

London Weekend (CRY)

Cardiac Risk in the Young!
It's my tenth time that I join the CRY WALK to raise awareness for sudden death syndrome, or undetected heart diseases.

I will spend the weekend in London, so that means no writing because I won't take my laptop with me. I finished The Wentworth Pack 02, and the ebook version is now up for pre-order. The paperback probably will be available for purchase on Friday or Saturday.

The reason that I don't take my laptop with me on my trip to London is that I need a few days off. I love writing to much, and therein lies the danger. I need to hit the brakes, now and then. If I don't, the chances are big that I overdo it and end up with my head empty of stories. I would not be the first author that it happens too.

So, it's nearly 10 in the morning, and I will visit my friend who lives 5 minutes away from my home (by bicycle). When I get home after my visite, I will pack my duffel and do a mani-pedi.

So, I wish y'all a great weekend! I know that I will have.

Fun Matters, just like Family Matters!

Yesterday I finished The Wentworth Pack Book Two, Family Matters. This one will be available for pre-order on June 30th, 2019. It probably could be sooner, but it needs proofreading, editing, and much more things before it can be published.

Right now, I've three projects that I'm currently working on. So, no time to get bored, or anything, haha.

Next weekend I will be in London for the annual Heart of London Bridges Walk for the CRY Foundation. CRY stands for Cardiac Risk in the Young. I'll meet with friends, and I can't wait to see them again. It will be a weekend without writing one word. No work at all! That will be difficult, though because I love to write.

Well, anyway, I'm home again after a great weekend camping with friends.

Have a great Sunday!

Camping and Writing Stories

We are camping for a few days, and it's so relaxing. No commitments or appointments, just doing whatever I like. Right now, we're sitting outside and enjoying the weather, even though it's cloudy, but the temperature is pleasant.

I'm nearly finished with The Wentworth Pack Book two. As I wrote earlier, the cover is finished as well, and that makes me very happy. It took me weeks to come up with a cover that was suitable for Eric and Jory's story.

Editing and proofreading will happen this coming week, and as soon as I finish The Wentworth Pack, I continue with Club Ghost Town. Two Christmas novellas follow after that or in between writing Club Ghost Town. I often work on more than one story at the same time. If I'm stuck with one story, I'll continue with the next one.

Have a nice weekend!

woensdag 12 juni 2019

Cover Revealed!

Yes, I did it! Yesterday I created the definite cover for the Wentworth Pack 02 Family Matters. It's a simple one, but I love it because sometimes less is more.

I'll be away on a camping trip from Thursday till Sunday. Once a year hubby and I go camping with our costumes who bought one of our tent trailers. I am always looking forward to this weekend.

Also, with a little luck, I will be able to wrap up The Wentworth Pack 02 Family Matters. That means that the story could become available for pre-order on June 23rd. It also means that I kept my deadline, and that's good.

Have a nice day!

New Cover!

Just one chapter and The Wentworth pack Book Two - Family Matters, is finished. Well the writing, anyway. There's still a cover that I need to design. And for the life of me, I have no idea what the cover should look like.

So, when I'm finished with The Wentworth pack, I will continue with the next book. And in the meantime, I will think about the cover for The Wentworth pack.

My husband and I will go on a camping trip, from Thursday till Sunday, so that should give me the time to come up with an excellent idea for the new cover.

The Wentworth Pack Book Two will also be available in print. It's always exciting to publish a new story, of course, to write a novel is just as thrilling.

Have a good week!

No Rest for the Wicked!

What can I say? Yeah, well, there isn't much to blog about, right now. I have little time to work on my next novel — the Wentworth Pack book Two. What I do have is the title, for now, anyways.

The Wentworth Pack 02 is in the last phase, and I hope to finish it by the end of next week. After that, I will start on the next book, of course.

Also, I need to start on Christmas Miracles the Sequel, The Wentworth Pack (Christmas story) and Grapevines & Skyscraper 03 Wedding Bells in December. It will be the final book in the G &S Series.

Between writing all these Chrismas stories, I will start with a new project which I'm very excited about.

So, no rest for the wicked, hahaha.

Have a great week y'all!

No Time!

I've not written one word today because I was busy with other stuff, like finding a hotel in London, for a decent price. England's capital city is damn expensive, but I managed to pull it off. I found a nice hotel located near Tower Bridge. You see, every year I travel to London the participate in the Heart of London Bridges Walk. It's a charity event. So I will be in London for three days, three whole days. I can't wait.

"CRY offers subsidized ECG and Echocardiogram screening to all young people between the ages of 14 & 35. There is a simple way to diagnose most cardiac abnormalities. That is by having an ECG (electrocardiogram) test. A cardiologist should read results. For extra clarity, an Echocardiogram can also be done. If there has been a young (under 35) sudden death in the family, the family is entitled to be screened on the NHS. All of CRY’s public events are free to attend."
Source CRY

Every year, the CRY organization saves many lives. So, once a year, I walk the bridges raising awareness for cardiac risk in the young!

Tomorrow will be all about writing again. I hope to finish at least three more chapters.

Have a great evening!

It was not going to happen!

As you could read in yesterdays blog, I was planning on making the Sunday all about writing. Well, no such luck because I wasn't feeling well. It was like my head was stuffed with cotton. I hate when that happens. I was so out of it that continuing working on The Wentworth Pack was impossible.

Today I feel much better again, thank God! I finished all my chores, and now I'm on the couch, watching Castle and writing again, yaaay for me.

Also, it's not so humid outside as it was yesterday because it makes breathing difficult, for me anyway.

I was stuck on Eric and Jory's story, but I managed to prevent writer's block. My novel is in the final stage, and I didn't know how to continue, let me tell you that it sucks, big time!

However, I got the brilliant idea to write a summary for the last couple of chapters, and it worked. I now know how the story ends and how to write a strong last section of the story.

Have a great week, y'all!

zondag 26 mei 2019

Still, no title!

It's been a while since I wrote a blog. My only excuse is that I worked hard to get my paperbacks published. Most of you don't know it, but it's hard work for an Indie Author like myself, who do everything themselves.

And because I was so busy getting my ebooks published as a paperback, I didn't have much time to continue working on my next book The Wentworth Pack. As of now, I do have the time work on my novel again.

I wracked my brain to come up with a title for book two in The Wentworth Pack Series but to no avail. I can't come up with anything! Ah, well, it will take me a few more weeks to finish the novel, so I still have the time to think of something.

For the record, my ankle still hurts very much, and last Monday, I suffered a kidney attack that cost me days to recover from. I couldn't even visit my friend who is terminal ill; she has lung cancer.

It's been six days since the kidney attack and I feel much better. At least breathing isn't difficult anymore.

To will be spent on the couch, mostly writing but also watching TV, cuddling up with my dogs and watch Formula one Racing.

Have a great Sunday!

zaterdag 11 mei 2019

In print!

Yep, it's finally going to happen. Soon, my books will be available in print and I'm so proud! It's a lot of work before a book is ready to be printed. I moved from the living room to my home office again because it's quieter, no distractions.

My ankle still hurts like a bitch, but there's nothing I can do about, right now. So I have to deal with it the best that I can.

Today and tomorrow will be all about writing, it's time that I finish some of my stories. In between, I will work on the print version of The Wentworth Pack and Grapevines & Skyscrapers book 01 and 02. Which means, new cover design and recheck the manuscript. Choosing fonts and stuff. It's really exciting.

About Christmas Miracles.

Christmas Miracles will also be available in print and in German (revised version), but not right away.  No, this book will be available in print right before, of course, Christmas :) Just as the sequel to Christmas Miracles.

So, there's a lot to do. No rest for the wicked hahaha.

Have a good weekend y'all! I know that I will...

Stories and Shitty Moments!

Even though I still suffer from depression, writing goes well. I make serious progress with Club Ghosttown, and that pleases me to no end. So far I nearly wrote 17.000 words, and that's not bad if I say so myself.

I connect perfectly with Kieran and Max, and their surroundings. To have that connection is very important, for me anyway. It's essential for writing a good and reliable story.

The Wentworth Pack is on hold, for now. That's why I always have several projects on my shelf. If I get stuck on one story, I just start with the next one. This week I even changed the date and priority of the stories that are "work in process."

I'm developing a lovely shitty, food allergy, and it's getting worse every month that passes. I wonder if I'll ever be able to eat normally again. For now, I concentrate on writing stories. It's a good distraction from the all-day problems that seem to hit me right now.

Next week I will visit my friend. It's heartbreaking that she has so little time left. She's on morphine, and I'm afraid that it will influence her brain because that's what morphine does.

My ankle still hurts like hell! But it's peanuts in comparison to what my friend has to go through. So, I'm not complaining.

That's it for today!

Have a great weekend, ya'll! I will try and do the same. X

woensdag 1 mei 2019

Club Ghosttown!

It's a few days now that I'm stuck. I can't seem to continue with The Wentworth Pack book two. So, yesterday I started with creating the book cover for Grapevines and Skyscrapers book three. It will be the final book in the G &  series and will be released right before Christmas 2019.

Today I started with Club Ghosttown. It will be the story of Max and Kieran. I'm not sure which direction this story will lead Max and Kieran, but it will come to me. For now, I just keep writing. I need to keep working on at least one of my story's because I need the distraction. My friend has lung cancer, and she's getting worse.

The doctors say that that they can't do anything for her anymore. She's on morphine now that's the only thing they can do for her, lessen the pain. However, the deadly decease has spread through her body, and the pain meds aren't really helping. It's a heart-wrenching situation.

Standing on the sideline and not being able to help her is frustrating.

zondag 28 april 2019

Well, shit!

Good morning everyone!

It's Sunday, and that means, time to continue with Eric and Jory's story. I'm on the couch, and my ankle still is hurting. It's a week now, and I think that it takes to long, but I'm an impatient person.

Yesterday I started designing the cover for The Wentworth Pack. This time, It's, challenging and for the life of me, I don't know why. I always have a picture in mind of how the cover has to look like, except not this time. Well, shit! Plus, I still don't have a title for the second book, again. Well shit!

I'm still banned to the couch since I can't walk, but at least it's raining, and that's good because it means that I can't go outside for a walk, which is something that I love to do. Well, if the weather is good.

Have a great Sunday!

donderdag 25 april 2019

The day after!

The holidays are over, and routine has set in, again. My ankle is doing better, but I still can't walk properly on my right foot. Writing goes well, and of that I'm glad. On Wednesday my sister treated my ankle, she's a holistic healer, and I'm always pretty sick afterward.

I know that when I get a holistic treatment, I need to rest for the day. However, it's seldom that I have that luxury. So, when I got back home after the treatment yesterday, I went to work immediately. It was wrong, so very wrong.

Holistic treatments are very intense and shouldn't be underestimated, which I always do. That's why I was sick yesterday. Holistic treatment always makes me feel like all the negativity is being cast out of my body and soul. It's like a cleansing ritual. It always leafs me drained but then I have tons of energy afterward.

I will try and created the cover for The Wentworth Pack 02, this coming weekend. I'm not quite sure how or what. So, it will be a challenge, but I'm used to that. It will come to me, in time, I'm positive.

Summary The Wentworth Pack Book Two

A family member no one knew about, a baby who is so much more then meets the eye, and an old enemy who lurks around the corner. These are only a few of the problems that Alpha Eric Wentworth needs to deal with to keep everyone safe.

Add a new pack member, two angels who are in love with two of Eric’s pack members, an angel who goes missing, and we have the perfect ingredients for giving Eric a migraine.

Temporary Cover. I have trouble creating a perfect one for book two.

The Wentworth Pack Book Two (title unknown).

The Wentworth Pack Book Two (Title?)

On the couch, once again! My ankle still hurts a lot, although the pain is lessening, thank God. When I woke up this morning; I did notice that my husband already left for work, which means that now I need to fend for myself.

Since I'm not able to even put a little pressure on my right foot, I move through the house on my office chair. Boy, let me tell you, it's exhausting. But I'll get there, and that's what's important.

The last few days were very productive. That was the one good thing about spraining my ankle. I need to stay off my feet, which means that I got a lot of work done while on the couch.

Eric and Jory's story is right on schedule, and that pleases me to no end. Although, I still don't have a clue how it ends. Well, it will come to me, eventually. It always does.

Also, I started on the third, and probably the last book in the Grapevines & Skyscrapers Series. It will be a very romantic story.

So, now it's back to writing again since I'm not able to do anything else while my foot still hurts so much.

Have a great day!

zondag 21 april 2019

Damn and double damn!

Yesterday I sprained my ankle because I needed to stop Max, my dog, from running to the fence and bark at passers-by. In doing so, I twisted my ankle, and now it's sprained which makes walking impossible. This morning I tried to walk on it, and the pain was excruciating. It will make me think twice before I try that again!

So, that will be my Easter day, lying on the sofa and let my hubby serve me LOL. Well, it's not how I imagine the holidays, but what you can you do.

Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02 is available for pre-order now, and that means, continue with The Wentworth Pack book two, for which I still don't have a title.

My husband made some delicious breakfast, and now I'm resting on the couch, happily typing away on my keyboard, writing my blog for you.

Yesterday I started reading The Wentworth Pack book two, well, what I wrote so far, anyway about twelve chapters. I need to read back since it's a while that I worked on it, so I don't repeat thing because that wouldn't look good. Right?

Well, anyways, have a fabulous Easter! I know that I will.

donderdag 18 april 2019

The Finishing Touch!

Today is all about editing. I finished all my other chores and errands, so that gives me the time to concentrate on Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02 Reunited!

Even though my fructose allergy has reared its ugly head, again, I feel fine. Since I suffer a lot from this kind of allergy, I know what to eat, and what not! The problem is that I'm hungry, all day long. I can't eat much so every meal is a small one.  Aside from being hungry all day, I feel okay.

I finished Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02 ahead on schedule so instead of publishing the book on March 27th  for pre-order it will be available for presale on March 20th.

dinsdag 16 april 2019

Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02 Finished, at last!

I finished Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02 Reunited. Well, the writing part anyway. Now it's about editing.

Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02 Reunited!

"All though Raphael suffered from amnesia, his soul did not; it still remembered Julian as his soul-mate. That was something that wouldn’t change, even if Raphael would never regain his full memory again. The heart always knew what it wanted and what it needed. Raphael’s heart belonged to Julian, plain and simple."

Haley Langwood

I loved writing this story because I really connect with Raphael and Jory. Plus a big part of the story's setting is in Italy because that's my favorite country.

Now it's back to editing so that I can put the book up for pre-order.

Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02 Reunited

Soon available for pre-order!

Julian stood by the window. He didn’t turn around when he heard footsteps behind him because he knew who it was. “He’s back,” said the voice, his tone was gentle and subdued.

Julian didn’t answer right away. After a minute he said, “So I heard,” and Julian sighed when he felt George’s hand on his shoulder. “Do you need some company?” His friend asked softly.

“No! I need to be alone for a while. Gather my thoughts, you know? But thanks,” Julian gently interrupted his friend. Right now he needed to be alone. Julian still struggled to understand what had happened some five weeks ago.

Summary Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02

I've been working feverishly on "Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02 Reunited" for the last few days. Writing on Raphael and Julian's story goes better than expected, and that's a good thing. Yesterday I finally finished the summary for Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02. Sometimes it comes to me right away. Other times, it takes me a bit longer to write a one.

Today the sun is shining, and there's almost no wind. So, hubby and I took the dogs for a nice, long walk.

To breathe fresh air was heaven because I was cooked up inside for two whole days. That was hell. Also on Monday, I start dieting again because of my fructose allergy. That's hell too, haha.

The problem with having a fructose allergy is that nearly every product has sugar in it, even the so-called health food stuff.  It means, baking my own bread, only fresh vegetables, no fruit and particular sweeteners like rice syrup.

In the beginning, it was very complicated, but now I know what to eat and what not. Plus I have meds that help digest the sugar.

Have a great Sunday.

zaterdag 13 april 2019

Progress!

Good morning everyone! The sun is shining, and Grapevines & Skyscrapers is progressing perfectly. I'm on schedule again, and that's a good thing. I was up early this morning because I wanted to watch the free practice 3 of the F1. After that, it was time for the qualifying. As I wrote before, I love Formula One, Two and three, and don't forget the Formula E Series. There is a lot of action. It's awesome.

This weekend will be all about working on G & S book 02 Reunited! I'm almost there, just a few more chapters. G & S 02 Reunited is scheduled for May, and it will ready on time. I hope to finish G& S next Saturday, that gives me enough time to edit and correct. The published cover is definitive.

So, I wish all of you a great weekend!

donderdag 11 april 2019

How Many Books?

I am, of course, a member of many writers groups. There's often the question of "How many books do you publish, in a year?"

I know of writers who publish a book every two to three weeks. And I know of authors who release one or two books per year. Since I only started releasing books in July 2018, so not even a year ago, I couldn't answer that particular question. I'm not sure of how many books I could publish in a year.

What I do know is that I'm not able to publish more than six books per year. I write novels, mostly. And that takes time, mainly because I have to edit and created a cover for the book. Plus, I'm not a full-time writer. Even when I have the time, I don't always write. I do, however, work on creating a cover or a summary. To write an excerpt isn't so easy as some people think that it is.

A summary is critical because that's why a reader can decide if they buy the book or not. Also, the book cover has to be a catching one and should show what the book is all about.

As I wrote above, I'm not a full-time writer. I still have my other job which is important because a girl has to eat, right? Other than many people think, few writers can make their livelihood with writing books. So, I'm glad that I still have a job other than writing stories. Although, I was lucky enough to turn my hobby (writing books) into a career. I'm selling books, so I'm now an official writer.

That's it for today! My dogs and my books need my attention. It's cold outside, so the weather is perfect for staying in and work on Grapevines & Skyscrapers book 02.

Have a great day!

New Cover and Other Things!

I'm working hard to finish The Wentworth pack 02. All though, I still don't have a title for this second book. But, right now, I have inspiration, and I know how the story proceeds and how it ends. Yep, it's all in my head and ready to be put on paper, well laptop. Then there's the cover that still needs finishing, and  I have no clue. I guess that I just have to wait for inspiration to hit me.

For these last few weeks, It was a struggle to keep writing. When I'm feeling down, or tired, then it's difficult to find inspiration to continue working on one of my stories.

I'm having a difficult time because my friend is very sick, she's dying. We've known each other for more than thirty-five years and it hard to accept that in a few months, she won't be among us anymore.

My Frustoose allergy reared its ugly head, once again and I hate it. Luckily there's a medication that helps the intestines to digest the sugar that is in so many products.

Good news! My rescue operation of the mini Maltese was a huge success. On Monday, I've checked, and all is fine. That makes me happy.

More good news! Max is still doing great. He can't walk long distances anymore, but that's okay. I use the Innopet dog stroller, so if Max gets tired, I put him in the stroller so he can continue enjoying our walk.

That's enough for now!

Have a good week!

zondag 7 april 2019

Beautiful Sunday!

I'm busy working on a story that doesn't have a title, yet. I don't even know where it will lead me. Yeah, it's hilarious, I know. The weather is excellent, with lots of sunshine, which gives me always an energy boost.

Last night I discovered a hedgehog in the garden, so I immediately put some food and water in front of it. hedgehogs don't run away, so getting close to them is easy. At first, I thought that it was a small rabbit. My garden doesn't have lights, just the streetlamps and they keep the garden in the dark.

However, after placing down the food and water, I retreated so Joris, that's how I name him, could eat in peace.

It was Emma, who discovered the hedgehog. She's nearly blind, but apparently, Emma did smell the small animal. Max hadn't noticed it at all, and that was something that surprised me because he always knows first if there's an animal in the garden.

Today I won't have much time to write because hubby, Max, Emma and I will visit our friends.

When I'm working on my books, I rarely take the time to do anything else, and that's not right. If you work, you need the distraction, something fun to do, like seeing friends. So, today we are visiting our long-time friends.

On Friday, I went to see one of my best friends. He was the one who helped me with my writing. We had lunch and a good time.

I'm slowly doing better now. As I told you before, I rescued a dog, which took me several weeks. Plus my friend for over thirty years is dying. Her last CT scan was devastating, and I suffered with her. She's a year younger than I am. It's so unfair.

Anyway, I need to get ready, that means getting a shower and getting dressed because I want to look presentable.

Have a great Sunday!

Writing and recovering!

This weekend will be all about Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02! I've already written two third of it, but it's not done, not be far. The reason I waited so long before I continued Raphael and Julian's story is that I was stuck, and didn't know how to proceed. I still don't see how the story will end, or if there will even be a third book.

I have several projects that I'm working on right now. I'm writing on a story that doesn't have a title, even, and that's weird. There are flowing a few options through my head, but I'm not sure about the exact title, though. For now, I just continue with the story, and I'm confident that the title of this book will eventually come to me.

I'm on the couch, laptop on my lap and watching Father Brown (The UK Version) The role of Father Brown is played by Mark Williams ( Mr. Weasly) in the Harry Potter Series. I love watching Father Brown. My dogs are on the couch as well. Max is on my left, and Emma on the right. Yep, I'm covered in a dog blanket hahaha.

Hubby is running errands, so I am still in my pj's, after all, it's weekend. Plus, he doesn't mind doing some last minute grocery shopping.

The tiredness is slowly disappearing, and that's a good feeling because the last few weeks were hard on me.

I resued a small dog, and one of my best friends is dying, she had cancer and is in the last phase. She knows that there is no way she will recover and she is so brave.

The rescue and knowing that my friend won't have much time on this earth has sucked almost all of my energy. However, I'm slowly crawling out of that dark hole that I slipped into.

Now, it's back to writing again!

Have a great weekend!

Max and the veterinarian!

Today is judgment day, again, like every year for the last three years now. Max's heart will get an ultrasound, today! The ultrasound for Max should take place in October, later this year. We forwarded the date because Max isn't doing so well, lately.

I'll take Emma to the clinic as well. My Portuguese rescue can't stay home by herself, not without Max at her side. However, my husband will be there too. He drives from work directly to the animal clinic so that he can take care of Emma. That gives me the chance to concentrate entirely on Max.

I finished my work, and now I will try to write on one of my books. I'm working on three projects right now. To concentrate is hard, though. I'm nervous, and my stomach is in knots. The thought that my beloved Max would be very sick terrify's me.

Well, anyway that's it for now!

The Wentworth Pack - Book 03

While working on The Wentworth Pack book 02, I got the idea for book number 03. Book 3 in The Wentworth Series has already a title, too. It's hilarious, isn't it?

And because I don't want to forget the ideas that pop into my head, so I already started the summary for book number 3.

What I do want is to continue with book number two in the Grapevine & Skyscrapers Series. So, I will have to make time for that too.

I will get more energy after Max, my dog, is checked by the vet, because there's nothing worse than not knowing. It's draining energy.

On Monday I won't get much time if at all, to write. In the morning I need to work ( My hubby's company). After that, I need to get Max to the vet. It will be dinner time when I come home after visiting the vet.

I'm not a person who can work in the evening hours. So, I hope that on Tuesday, I will get some writing g time because there's still my other job.

Have a great evening y'all!

My dog, my book and me!

I'm working on several different projects, as you know when you follow my blog. Writing is distracting me, and that's what I need right now. My doggie, Max is scheduled for an ultrasound coming Monday. His heart isn't the best anymore, and the vet needs to check his heart regularly.

Max should get his ultrasound around August of this year. But he's not doing so well right now. So, that is reason enough not to wait until August to do the ultrasound.

Also, I got the sad message that one of the 31 ex-puppy mill dogs has passed away. It turned out that she had Cushing decease. Now only 29 rescues are still living, for as far as I know. My Faith was the first of the ex-puppy mill dogs who died. That was 18 months after the rescue. The second dog that passed was my Sophie. Her spine was severely damaged, and there was nothing that could so, other than let her pass the rainbow bridge.

Now Max is showing signs that his heart is getting worse. I hope that I'm wrong.
So to work on my books is a big distraction for me, and that's just what I need right now.

The Wentworth Pack book 2 is on the way, and I hope to publish it at the end of May.

Have a great weekend everyone!

The Wentworth Pack Book Two!

Some authors work on one story at the time. Not me! I'm one of those writers who work on several projects at the same time. Right now I'm working on Grapevines & Skyscrapers book two, Reunited, and it goes very well. I've written several chapters during the weekend.

Then, this morning, inspiration hit me, hard regarding book two of The Wentworth Pack. So that are three stories that I'm working on right now.

Today, it will all be about starting book two in The Wentworth Pack series.

Also, my rescue mission (saving a small Maltese doggie) was successful. This mission went on for a couple of weeks, and now that all is okay, I noticed how much energy it has cost me. I'm emotionally drained, but the dog gets a good life, and that's the most important thing.

I just need a few good nights of sleep; then I'll be fine again. I will tell all of it in my new book that will have Emma, (my rescue from Portugal) as the main character.

I'love all animals, but it's mostly about dogs, and when I see that someone isn't treating his dog the right way, then I'll spurt into action.

Eric Wentworth and Jory Bradshaw's story had been published on Saturday, and I couldn't even enjoy the sales because my thoughts were with the small dog. It turned out that the owners made the right changes, overnight. The little dog is safe now, and for it's time to enjoy the sales of my book.

I hope that I will have a good night sleep after having sleepless nights for about three weeks now because that's how long it took to get things right for the doggie.

So, enough for today!

Writing Day!

Today was all about writing. I managed to write several chapters of Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02 Reunited!

On Sunday hubby and I mostly stay home. Right now I'm on the couch, writing and watching IndyCar Series race at Circuit of The Americas.

I took the time to groom Emma because her fur was way too long. Now she looks like a puppy again, so cute, my baby girl. Yep, I see my two dogs as my children.

Tomorrow I probably won't get time to write because of my other job. I'm not a full-time writer, but I hope to become one, someday. I love to write stories, and it's my second greatest hobby,  my two dogs are number one.

That's it for today! Have a nice day/ evening!

Publication Day!

Today is the publication of Eric and Jory's story. I'm so excited because this was the first book I started writing, which was in 2012. Unfortunately, writers-block reared its ugly head, and I was forced to put their story to rest.

What I didn't know at that time was that it would take me seven years to finish it. So yes, I'm very excited! Why it took me so long to complete the book was that I couldn't connect with, Eric Wentworth and Jory Bradshaw, the main characters.

Let me tell you that if the connection between the writer and the characters isn't there, then there's no way to continue with their story. No way!

Anyway, I'm busy with several projects which includes my personal story and one of my latest rescue dog Emma.

My hubby is still at work, so the house is quiet with just Max and Emma. Both dogs are fast asleep.

I wish everyone a great weekend!

My Day, pre-orders and projects!

Right now, I'm busy working on Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02 Reunited. The story progresses well, and I'm satisfied. This evening I will continue with the cover for my other project, Angel Valley. I'm afraid that this cover will be a difficult one. I have the time because the month of publication for Angel Valley is  August 2019.

The way it goes now, I  will be able to publish Grapevines & Skyscrapers in May, as scheduled. Maybe even at the end of April, who knows, but May is doable. I don't need the stress, right now. So unless I'm sure of everything, there won't be pre-orders.

Have a nice day!

My Sunday

My alarm went off at 5 a.m. because I wanted to watch Formula One racing.  It's the first race of the new season, held in Melbourne, Australia. After watching a magnificent race, it was time to continue with my book "Grapevines & Skyscrapers 02 Reunited." I adjusted my notes and started writing the summary for G & S.

However, right now I'm not feeling so well, and I am afraid that the flu caught up with me.  I have a major headache, and my throat and left ear are hurting. What can I say, I'm not a winter person.

Being sick does have a big advantage because hubby is cooking dinner tonight.  So, right now, no more writing, just hanging on the couch and watching television.

Have a great day!

Next Cover!

It's Saturday, and that means that my weekend has started. Time to work on one of my stories, or cover for Angel Valley. This is a hard one because nothing fits. I want to combine heaven and earth, but that's harder than I expected. Still, I keep trying, and I will create a magnificent cover.

Maybe I'll even continue writing either on Grapevines & Skyscrapers, or Angel Valley, who knows. The weather is horrible, so the dogs and I stay inside.

Have a great weekend Y'all. I know I will!

Notes Notes Notes!

My appointment for today was called off, and that means, more time to write. Well, not writing exactly, but I'm scribbling down notes for my next three projects. Grapevines 02 is on hold for the moment because I don't know how to proceed. It will come to me eventually.

Before when I didn't know how to continue, I forced myself to keep writing. That was the stupidest thing ever because writing stories is a process of creativity.

Christmas Miracles will get a sequel because it has many unsolved issues.  Then, there's another story and my pet project. The new story doesn't have a title, yet.  My pet project will be about my adorable Portuguese princess, Emma. I already created the cover for Emma's story. It has pink in it.

Have a good day, everyone!

Cover

The manuscript is ready for publication. I'm working hard to finish the cover for The Wentworth Pack book One Jory's Destiny.

I created five covers, and none of them are satisfying. So, I'll give it another try.  Meanwhile, Emma, my Portuguese rescue is wreaking havoc, silly little dog! Whenever Emma is bored, she starts teasing me. Not my husband, no, me!

I hope to create the perfect book-cover today so that I can send my manuscript with a new summary and cover, for publishing.

It's still raining. So all of us are comfortable on the couch, except for Emma, she is lying in her dog bed, and she's quiet, for now. So, that makes me happy because I need to concentrate on finishing the book-cover.

Sunday, editing and other stuff!

Today is Sunday, and it should be my day off. However, as it is, I have lots of work to do regarding my newest book "The Wentworth Pack." I finished editing, and now it's time for insert hyperlinks, dedication copyright and so on.

One thing I can tell you, my Sunday isn't dull.  The weather outside is terrible. It's pouring, and I had to go through it because I had to let my dog out. Little Emma stayed home because she hates the rain, Max doesn't care, and he needs his exercise every day. So, I only took him for a walk.

I'm on the couch, typing merrily away on my laptop while my husband is preparing lunch. The dogs are watching him closely haha.

That's it for now. Have a good Sunday!

Unbelievable, but true!

Today I finished The Wentworth Pack 01 Jory's Destiny. I'm happy because this book is exceptional. I started writing Eric and Jory's story back in 2012. So, this book was on my shelf for seven years, wow.

Every time I wanted to continue, I got stuck. It somehow wasn't possible to connect with the main characters of this book, and it resulted in deleting, scene after scene, and then start over again. So, for a long time, I let it rest on the shelves.

Recently I had another go at it, and this time it was bingo. The connection was there, and I started writing and couldn't stop. I'm mega happy that I finally finished Eric and Jory's story because they deserve it.

There were times that I thought I would never finish this book. I rewrote it more times than I can count and even changed the title a few times.

The book will be available on March 23rd, 2019, but it's on pre-order at Smashwords and Amazon.

On Sale Now!

zaterdag 2 maart 2019

Published!

Today I made The Wentworth Pack available for pre-order on Amazon and Smashwords. Within days the book should also be on Kobo and Barnes & Noble. I'm wrapping up the story and expect to be finished on Sunday.

Then the editing and other stuff must be done before I can submit the manuscript. It's still a lot of work, but it's fun. Next story will be the second book in the Grapevines & Skyscrapers series. The cover is done, and I must admit that I'm very proud of the result.

Usually, I post the pre-orders on Goodreads, but the book cover is subject to change, so that will have to wait. Once the book cover is displayed on Goodreads, there's no way to undo it. I noticed that the first time that I was too hasty with posting and I learned from it. So, that won't happen again.

Now it's back to writing again. After all, I need to finish the manuscript.

Cardiac Risk in the Young

For a long time now, I participate in The Heart of London Bridges Walk, an event organized by CRY, which stands for Cardiac Risk in the Young.

CRY offers subsidized ECG and Echocardiogram screening to all young people between the ages of 14 & 35.

CRY organizes many events, but I only have time to walk the bridges of London. This year will be my tenth anniversary. I just registered online. I booked my plane ticket and got invited again to spend the weekend with friends who live just outside of London. I leave on Friday and return home on Sunday. And because I travel by my self, it's nice that I'll be able to spend the weekend with my friends.

Also, I started working on the story of Emma. She's a rescue from Portugal, and there's quite a story to tell about this little lady.  Plus, I worked hard on The Wentworth Pack story and hope to finish it by the end of next week. That leaves Grapevines & Skyscrapers book 02 Reunited. I will work on Emma's story in between when I have the time.

Sometimes, I want to continue with my writing, but just not on a current story. It's then that I often start writing a new one. So, that's why Emma's story is on its way.

My weekend!

Today will be all about writing. I took Max and Emma for a long walk this morning because the weather is excellent. After that, I finished my chores for this week. So, now it's time to continue with The Wentworth Pack book one.

It's so weird, but I thought that I would finish Grapevines & Skyscrapers before The Wentworth Pack. It seems that it's not going to happen. Right now I'm on a roll regarding Eric Wentworth and Jory Bradshaw's story.
It also means that I need to finish the cover for The Wentworth Pack.

The cover for Grapevines & Skyscrapers is ready and posted on my website.  I also posted a temporary book cover for The Wentworth Pack. The definite one will get posted as soon as it's ready and I'm satisfied.

I love to write all kinds of stories. It distracts me from small problems. This week, my fructose allergy reared its ugly head, once again. Fructose Malabsorption means that my intestines don't absorb fructose well. At the hospital, they told me that there is no medicine for this condition.

Well, as stubborn as I am, I search the internet and guess what? Yep, I found meds that help my body to absorb fructose. So, at least I'm able to eat supper without getting sick. I only take the meds during supper, for the rest of the day, I'm on a strict diet. Since I have Fructose Malabsorption regularly, I know what, and what not to eat. So, no problem there.

Have a great weekend!
